What is DFS?
The DigitalFuture Summit is an annual event that connects student talent with the future of digitalization. It offers a unique learning experience by providing a space for exchanging ideas and information with exciting panel discussions, inspiring keynotes and hands-on workshops. The event will take place on July 9 & 10 of 2020, at ESMT Berlin’s campus.
Why should I apply for DFS?
DigitalFuture Summit is a unique opportunity to expand your network, increase your knowledge in interesting and actual topics, interact in an unconventional way with different types of businesses and companies and to just have fun.
Who can apply for the event?
Students can apply for free, young professionals can apply paying a ticket, press/professors and other categories can write us at email@example.com
How does the application process work?
Complete the form on our website by clicking apply now with your general information, you will also need to upload an updated CV and insert your payment data in our secure accounting system where the payment policy will be applied. In the following 72 hours we will review application and send an email with the decision.
If your application is successful you will receive your ticket which is requested at the reception desk to enter the two-day event. If you have any questions during the process do not hesitate to contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Application Fee Policy for Students
The DigitalFuture Summit is free of charge for students attending the event on the 9th and 10th of July 2020 where the fee of €2.49 paid during the application will be fully refunded in special food vouchers. However, if you confirmed your attendance and decide to not show up, we will charge your card €47.50 no-show fee.
You can cancel your participation for free writing an email to email@example.com before June 17th. After this date, the cancelation will not be possible anymore and you will be charged the full no-show fee.
Who can apply for FREE?
Students! If you graduated after October 1st, 2019 you are still considered a student so you can apply for free!
Who are considered “Young Professionals”?
People who are not currently enrolled in a university program and have less than 3 years of working experience after graduation are considered young professionals. Tickets for young professionals are 99.99€ and they are limited at 100! Please note, that when applying you will be asked to provide your work experience in the application form.
Application Policy for Young Professionals
Young professionals can apply from March 1st, 2020 for €99.99 per ticket. Applicants will be charged the €2.49 application fee when sending us their application. They will then be charged €97.50 if their application is deemed successful. You will not be refunded of the €2.49 application fee if your application is not successful. Please remember that there are only 100 limited spots for young professionals, so do not miss out on getting your ticket!
What happens if I cannot attend the event?
Cancelations are free of charge before the June 17th by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, our no-show fee of €47,50 will be charged.
Where is the event held?
The event is held at the ESMT Berlin campus in Schloßplatz 1, 10178 Berlin.
How can I choose the different activities during the event?
Before the event a survey will be sent to all participants for them to choose the workshops and masterclasses they are interested in, in order to give everyone a wonderful experience.
What languages am I supposed to know?
The event will be entirely in English.
When does the event start and finish?
The DigitalFuture Summit 2020 will start on the 9th of July at 9am, all participants will have to check in at the reception desks where they will receive their badges, certificates and gadgets. The event will finish on the 10th of July with an AfterParty in a wonderful and exclusive location.
Which opportunities do I have to connect with companies?
You can network with companies during masterclasses, workshops and breaks.
Also, your CV will be sent to our partners who may invite you for an interview or a business lunch during the 2 days of the event. This is a great opportunity you have to come in contacts with the big corporates as well as start-ups that will be present at our event.
Moreover on the 10th of July a talent fair will be held, where you will be free to connect with the companies you are interested in.
What is included in the application?
Accommodation and flights are not included, but everything else in the event is, i.e.: lunches, dinners, snacks, workshops, masterclasses, talent fair and afterparty.
How do I know which companies and speakers will be at DFS20?
Stay updated by following us on social media, where we will be announcing speakers and companies. Also, don’t forget to check our website and your emails!
Do I need to be a student of ESMT Berlin to join DigitalFuture Summit?
It’s an open event, anyone can attend if they apply and are accepted to the DFS 20. Students can register for FREE, while young professionals must pay a certain fee that is €100.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards. If you do not possess one but wish to register, please get in touch with email@example.com and we will try to accomodate your needs!
